Wall Mounts for the iPad: Which Fits Which Model? All Lines at a Glance

Not all iPads are the same: Apple runs four lines with more than 30 models by now, and each has its own dimensions and proportions. A wall mount should therefore fit the exact model. Here is the overview of which mount belongs to which iPad.

How to find out which iPad you have

On the iPad, open Settings, then General and About: there you will find the model name, such as "iPad Air 5". Alternatively, the model number on the back helps (it starts with A). Our model finder and the guide Finding your tablet model take you there step by step.

iPad (standard line)

The classic line from the iPad 5 (2017) through the widespread iPad 9 (2021) and iPad 10 (2022) to the current iPad 11 with the A16 chip. For all of these generations, our mount is available with a precise fit: as an enclosure mount or as a slide-in mount.

iPad Air

From the iPad Air 1 (2013) through the Air 4 and Air 5 (11 inch) to the current Air 6 M2 and Air 7 M3, each available in 11 and 13 inch. We cover both display sizes with a precise fit: enclosure mount for the iPad Air or slide-in mount for the iPad Air.

iPad Pro

The greatest model variety: from the early Pro 9.7 and Pro 10.5 through six generations of 11 inch to the 12.9 and 13 inch models with M4 and M5 chips. Each generation has its own fit: enclosure mount for the iPad Pro or slide-in mount for the iPad Pro.

iPad mini

Compact and especially popular as a wall control panel: from the iPad mini 2 to the current mini 7 with the A17 Pro chip. Available with a precise fit as an enclosure mount for the iPad mini or a slide-in mount for the iPad mini.

Enclosure or slide-in?

In short: enclosure for iPads that stay fixed on the wall, slide-in for iPads that regularly end up in your hand. You will find the detailed comparison in the guide Slide-in or enclosure. And to keep your iPad charged on the wall permanently, read our guide on charging on the wall.
